Meet the Chef
Jean-François Bonnet was born and raised in Fréjus, a small town in the south of France, where the smell of fresh bread from his family’s bakery sparked a lifelong love of craftsmanship and flavor. Trained under Michelin two-star Chef Philippe Da Silva, he later brought his talents to New York, working in celebrated kitchens such as Monkey Bar, Cello, and the Ritz-Carlton’s L’Atelier.
In 2003, Daniel Boulud tapped Jean-François to lead the dessert program at his legendary flagship restaurant Daniel, praising his blend of artistry, technique, and respect for delicate flavors. Twice named one of Dessert Professional’s Top Ten Chefs in America, he went on to co-found Zeibart’s Chocolate, where he channels his experience into creating distinctive chocolates that blend classic American favorites with artisan creativity.
Today, Chef Bonnet brings the culture and creativity of the global culinary world to our kosher chocolate, helping set a new standard for kosher chocolate.
